A K–8 Catholic school in Clark, NJ — serving the children of our parish, our township, and the surrounding communities of Union County for seventy-five years.
Saint John the Apostle Parish School opened its doors in 1950, founded by the families of a young, growing parish to ensure their children received a Catholic education rooted in faith and academic rigor. Three generations later, many of our current families count grandparents and great-grandparents among our alumni — a continuity of community that defines who we are.
From our earliest days, our mission has been clear: form the whole child — spiritually, academically, socially, and physically — in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Today, that mission lives on through every Mass, every classroom lesson, every service project, and every game played in Chargers blue and gold.
“The Lord himself is the one who has chosen you to walk with him on this journey.” — St. John the Apostle
Saint John the Apostle Catholic School is committed to the formation of the whole child in the Catholic intellectual tradition. We educate students in the truths of the faith, in the disciplines of academic learning, and in the virtues necessary for lifelong discipleship and citizenship.
Saint John the Apostle School is a ministry of Saint John the Apostle Parish, under the Archdiocese of Newark. We participate fully in the liturgical and sacramental life of our parish — school Masses, May Crowning, Stations of the Cross, First Communion, Confirmation, and the great feasts of the liturgical year.
The best way to know SJA is to come see us. We welcome prospective families for tours throughout the school year — from individual walk-throughs to our seasonal Open Houses.
Open enrollment for the 2026–27 school year is happening now.
